Søholm:- Noomi Backhausen

Unique studio vase in stoneware with heavy applied relief decoration in brown glazes. Part of one of the relief's has come away from the main body during firing see picture number 4. This is a very heavy large vase.

Marked to base painted Søholm Danmark Noomi.

Stoneware wall relief with bird design partly glazed in matt and shiny black, brown and red. This relief is unsigned but we are certain it is by Noomi.

Marked on back impressed Søhom factory mark, pattern number 3592.1 and date 14 Juli 1981 painted paintress mark 'K'.

Marked to front left hand bottom  corner incised Noomi, marked to back impressed Søholm factory mark, impressed pattern number 3573, painted paintress mark 'A'.

Stoneware wall plaque with abstract design in red, green, yellow and burgundy under a heavy high fired glaze, there is crazing all over the design which is under the glaze and is normal on these pieces. The plaque is slightly warped again not unusual on these large heavy stoneware plaques.

Marked to back impressed Søholm factory mark and pattern number 3559, painted paintress mark 'K'.
